A Trip to the Pumpkin Farm

Yesterday was took our annual trip to Shaw Pumpkin Farm. As usual, a great time was had by all. I could tell though, sadly, that Grace and Olivia weren't into the fake pumpkin people and little displays they have. Emma really was, though, and she had a good time running around. Grace and Olivia really enjoyed listening to a Bluegrass band they had in one of the barns. I was teasing Grace this morning, asking her if we were going to be going to Shaw Farms one day listening to her play her violin in some bluegrass band. We all enjoyed the hay ride. Emma didn't like the "picky" on her legs (such a city girl), so spent the ride on my lap.

Emma cracks me up! It was hot out, but she insisted on wearing her "cool" jacket, with pockets. She had the pockets filled with all kinds of treasures (rocks, leaves, etc. ) by the end of the morning. She looks like a goon, though, all bundled up, because, heaven forbid, we might unzip it a bit.

Mom,
After I made the post, I was looking through the pictures, and I can't get over how much
Emmma looks like you in the last picture- the one where she is sitting on Grace's knee. It's kind of scary!! Love you!!!

Love,
Jenn

It looks like you had another year of great memories at Shaw Farms. I agree Jennifer with your commetnt, but couldn't you have come up with a better word than "scary". I'm surprised you didn't think the picture with Emma between the pumpkin people wasn't a better look-a-like. Not of Emma and myself but the pumpkin people and me when I was a baby. I Love you!! Love, Grammy
