Mommy's Helpers

It was so beautiful here today and I could hardly wait to get home from work and get outside to do some yardwork. I had two of the best helpers ever (Grace was at soccer practice). Thanks, girls!!!!

Family Retreat 2010

This past weekend was the Zion Family Retreat up at Camp Lakeview in Indiana. As always, it was a great weekend with friends and family. We had fun at the archery range and raked some leaves at the camp before it began to rain Saturday afteroon. The rain didn't ruin the fun, however. Each family made a stepping stone for our garden and made various other crafts Saturday afternoon. (Emma was all about the crafts!) Saturday evening each family had 20 minutes to design an outfit for a family member to model during a fashion show out of tissue papper, crep paper, newspaper, etc. It was a blast!!! After a devotion and s'mores around the fire pit in the drizzle, we headed back to the lodge for a few more board games with the kids before settling them down for the night. The fun didn't end until 1:30 in the morning because all of us big "kids" just couldn't stop playing games! It's always a great time and such a great experience!!!

Jump Zone

Yesterday the girls didn't have school because it was parent-teacher conferences, so we headed over to the Jump Zone with a bunch of friends for a morning of fun, and to celebrate excellent report cards-way to go girls!!!!! For two hours solid, they did nothing but run around and climb and slide down big blow up slides. From their faces in these pictures, you can see they had a blast!

Emma and new friend, Emma, who is also going to kindergarten this fall. They were like best friends all morning, holding hands, chasing each other around, etc. Emma is Nichole's sister--I can see some playdates in the future!!!
