Olivia Turns Eight!

Olivia turned 8 today, but we started celebrating over the weekend when Grammy came to visit. We had a special birthday dinner on Sunday of fondue, cheesey potatoes, and green beans-all at Olivia's request. As usual, we had a great visit with Grammy, but the time went by much too fast!!!!

Tonight we celebrated by opening presents before we went to dinner at Skyline Chili (it's so hard to wait when you are eight!) We met some friends there for dinner and then we all came back to our house for chocolate cake with chocolate icing! I can't believe my Olivia is 8! The last 8 years have been such a blessing thanks to my funny, sweet Olivia!

Happy Birthday, Dan!

Today was Dan's 38th birthday. Happy birthday, honey! We are so proud of you and all you have accomplished. You are a wonderful, loving daddy and husband! We are all blessed to have you in our lives. Hope you had a great day!!!

Musical

The fifth and sixth grade musical was last Thursday and Friday night, and I'm proud to say that Grace had the part of a "non-speaking surfer" in I Need a Vacation. Since she is also a part of the the 5th grade chorus, she got to sing all the fun songs but as a "non-speaking surfer" she and a couple of other girls got to come out front and sing and dance seperately. She really had a good time and the kids did a great job!!!

Sledding Fun

Here are some pictures from our day of sledding after our big snowstorm over the weekend. Olivia had spent the night at a friend's house, so she wasn't with us :( , but she got to go with her friend and had a great time.

Emma giving daddy instructions.

Their faces say it all!

Even daddy took a ride! "Go daddy, go daddy!"

Olivia's New Room

When we moved into our house the end of August, the only room that really needed anything done to it was Olivia's room. The little boy that had her room had a black hole painted in the corner with a blue ceiling, and had space shuttles and airplanes hanging from the ceiling. Olivia got a new quilt for Christmas with horses on it, and I finally got around to painting her room this weekend. We just need a few more finishing touches (valances and a bed skirt) and she will be set.

Here's a before of her room with the black hole.

AND......

Here's her new, sweet room with lite lavender walls. I left the sky ceiling with the clouds and all, and I think it looks really cute. She is absoultely thrilled!

Sporty Girls

Here's some pictures of the girls in action lately. Grace had been busy playing futsal and Olivia is becoming one lean-mean rebounding machine (she loves it when I call her that). I'm still trying to figure out my new camera, so some of the shots are blurry-any pointers from you camera pros would be greatly appreciated!
