More Girls!!!

I love this, becaue Grace looks like she is going to burst with excitement!

On April 24, 2008, my brother Mark and his wife Ashlie welcomed twin girls into their family-Audrey Suzanne and Lilly Kathryn. On that day I also became an AUNT (can you hear the hooting and the hollering?)!!!! We were able to meet them briefly and the girls were able to hold them. Here are a few pictures from our visit. I'll have to figure out how to post video clips because we ran out of space on the digital camera that night and had to shoot some video, too, so I don't have as many pictures as I would like. We are going back in July for a visit, so watch out girls!! Your mom is the picture lady, though, so by then you will be accustom to the camera! We are so looking forward to all the "girl" things on the horizon....shopping, antiquing, shopping, antiquing (Mark don't panic!) Welcome Audrey and Lilly! We love you!!!!

City Kids Down on the Farm

Olivia milking a goat (with a little help from Farmer Linda).

Olivia and her friend Anna after they had just bottle fed a baby sheep.

Here all the kids are covering their ears because the baby pig was squealing so loudly--boy are they city kids, or what?

Olivia and her best friend Anna on the bus. They were pretty pumped about riding the bus on the way to the farm since they walk to school every day.
Two weeks ago today I had the opportunity to go with Olivia's kindergarten class to Sunrock Farm. It was quite an adventure, let me tell you! They got to milk a goat, feed goats, pet a very noisy pig, hold a baby chick, feed a baby sheep from a bottle, and collect eggs from a real hen house. It was a very exciting day for them! I enjoyed watching Olivia have fun with her friends. It's hard to believe that they are all almost 1st graders! They have grown so much this year. The best part of the trip was on the bus ride back when my brother called me and told me I was an aunt to twin girls-- Audrey and Lilly!!! I thought Olivia and Anna were going to hug each other to death. It was just a great day all around! The next post will of course contain pictures of my beautiful nieces! (If you can't tell, I'm just a tad bit excited to be an aunt!)

"That's Elmo's World"

Emma enjoying Elmo and holding onto her new ball. She didn't let go of it until she had to make triangles with her arms and then she let me hold it for her.

Emma showing off her new Elmo t-shirt and Sesame Street ball.

A couple of Saturdays ago Emma and I went to see Sesame Street Live. Dan asked me before we left, "Who is more excited, you or Emma?" It was a blast! The best part was seeing Emma have so much fun. I wanted to buy her a shirt or something, so when we got there, I told her, "Let's go look for the Elmo store." She took my hand and said, "No, I just want to go see Elmo." I wish I could have captured the look on her face when Elmo came out on stage-priceless (mommy cried). She kept waving and yelling "Hi, Elmo!" She sang all the songs (even if she didn't know the words sometimes) and danced throughout the whole performance. At one point, I leaned over and whispered in her ear, after she had just yelled "Hi, Elmo" for about the 100th time, "Did you see Elmo wave back at you?" You should have seen her face light up and she said, "He did? I think you are right!" That was definitely one morning this mommy will never forget!!! We love you Elmo!!!

The Dog Days of Spring?

By the looks of the girls in this picture, you would think it is the dog days of summer around here! It has been warm here and the ice cream truck came by one day right after school. How could I resist? Things have been busy around the Hamilton household, so I haven't been very good about keeping up with my blogging. I'm going to try to post a few things tonight!
